4th Grade Writing Prompts

Students in fourth grade need a variety of practice developing their writing skills. According to Common Core State Standards Initiative, fourth-grade writing should include opinion pieces, informative texts, and narratives about real or imagined experiences. Additionally, a fourth-grade  writing curriculum should include short research projects.   These writing prompts offer diverse forms of inspiration for every student. Opinion Essay Writing Prompts In an opinion essay, students must  state their opinion, then back it up with facts and reasons. Ideas should be organized logically and supported by details. Best Friends Forever. Write an essay explaining what makes your best friend the best best friend.  Awesomeness.  Describe the most awesome  thing about being in fourth grade.New Worlds. Cloning is done when a cell is replicated by using asexual reproduction and turns out to be the exact same as the host. Most people believe that cloning is very harmful and weird, while some believe that cloning is good for the environment and, it helps the world become very successful. I believe that cloning is horrible because it causes large offspring syndrome, has a very high failure percentage, has unknown consequences, the economy is affected poorly, causes an abnormal population increase, makes a non-diverse population, clones are socially unaccepted, it destroys the value of life and family, it causes diseases to spread, it causes premature aging, provides security issues for people, and increases the abuse of cloning. Many animals that are cloned often have major problems later in their development. They often suffer from large offspring syndrome. Large offspring syndrome is a condition that is seen in assisted reproduction as well as normal reproduction. LOS starts with an abnormal placenta before it even develops into LOS. The abnormal placenta might be from a problem in the somatic cell nuclear transfer process. This causes animals to have fairly large organs. The effects of large offspring syndrome are problems with breathing, blood flow, suckling, and increased chance of sudden death. For example, one tale was about a convent filled with devoted nuns that decided to hire what thought was a poor, deaf, mute man. They hired this man as the gardener for their convent. Shortly after he began working as the gardener, two young nuns brought him to an old shed in the garden and had sex with him. Another nun saw this and decided to have sex with him also. However, when he had finished having an orgasm, she hadnt, and asked him to continue making love to her. As a result, the gardener snapped at her and told her how he couldnt keep up with all of the nuns wanting to have sex with him. The nun, stunned to see that the man could speak and hear ran to the convent and began telling all of the women how it was a miracle. The runs came rushing in caressing and touching the poor gardener. Passolini shows irony in the religious aspect because nuns are perceived to be women devoted to God and live a non-promiscuous life, which was not what they were doing. They werent supposed to think about men or sex. The tale was quite humorous because, the gardener, hoping to find a job, was surprised to see how these nuns who are portrayed as very religious, devoting figures to God in the community were just the opposite of what everyone believed them to be.
